Meet the Founder
Hi, I'm Yana.
Years ago, when I was running a property management company, our CPA handed us our financial statements.
I remember sitting there with my business partner, both of us staring at the pages in front of us. We could see the numbers. We understood what revenue was, what expenses were, and whether the bottom line was positive or negative.
But what were those numbers actually telling us about our business?
Neither of us really knew.
What makes that memory especially funny to me now is that we both had bachelor's degrees — and mine was in economics. Yet no one had ever taught us how to look at a set of financial statements and understand the business story behind them.
At the time, I didn't realize just how much information was sitting there waiting to be uncovered.
Those statements weren't simply rows of numbers prepared by our CPA. They could tell us where the business was making money, where it was losing it, how our costs were changing, whether our margins were healthy, where cash was going, and what might need our attention next.
There was an entire business story hidden behind those numbers. We just didn't know how to read it yet.
That experience stayed with me.
Over the years, as I worked across business operations, accounting, financial reporting and analysis, I learned how to read that story — and eventually realized how many other small business owners are sitting in exactly the same position I once was.
They have financial statements.
They have QuickBooks.
They have a CPA or bookkeeper.
What they don't always have is someone helping them understand what all of that information actually means for their business.
That's a big part of why I created Invicta Consulting.
Today, I combine my experience as a business owner with financial analysis, reporting, bookkeeping and modern tools like Ai, Power BI and Excel to help small business owners understand what's happening behind their numbers — and use that understanding to make better decisions.
